19th Annual Bayside Brunch
Des Moines Community WOWS! at 19th Annual Bayside Brunch 2018!!
All the great super heroes were represented at Bayside Brunch 2018, Sunday, November 4th at Anthony's Homeport in Des Moines. With our theme, Super
Heroes, Ninja Turtles, Batwoman, Superwoman, Superman, Mae West, The Joker.......we had them all and more in festive costumes to support this annual
FUNdraiser for Des Moines low income youth and seniors! in 2.5 hours the generous and caring crowd of 121 guests and volunteers raised over $20,000
for senior services programs and $14,125 for recreation scholarships for low income youth. Our "community defenders of justice" took home great silent,
live and raffle items, as well as restaurant gift certificates. Our BAM they are amazing!! goes as always to the staff at Anthony's Homeport, who
volunteer their time for this event, and provide their executive chef brunch buffet and complimentary champagne.
Bayside Brunch would not be in its eighteenth year, if not for the Super Hero volunteers who dream, plan and coordinate this popular event. Many
thanks to the 2018 planning committee;co-chair, Carla Jackson, Gene Achziger, Patricia Clark, Sharon Palazzo and Sue Padden. SHAZAM! for their

BAYSIDE BRUNCH at Anthony's HomePort
It was a FUN feeding frenzy with friends on Sunday, November 6 as the Des Moines Legacy Foundation hosted their sixteenth annual Bayside Brunch.
The theme this year, Margaritaville, brought out the parrothead and beach bum in all of us. The exquisite champagne brunch buffet hosted by the one
and only Anthony's Homeport on the Des Moines water front, along with our silent auction, and two raffles raised $13,250 for senior programs and
services for the Des Moines/Normandy Park community and $13,546 for Des Moines recreation scholarships for low income youth.
