Des Moines Legacy Foundation PartnersCity of Des Moines - The Des Moines Legacy Foundation works closely with the City for our projects and services. The foundation has donated equipment, vehicles, park amenities and more to the City of Des Moines department of Parks, Recreation and Senior Services since 1999.
Rotary Club of Des Moines - The Rotary sponsors recreation scholarships that allow children in need the opportunity to participate in life enhancing experiences such as Camp KHAOS, before and after school programs, culture and sports.
Des Moines Arts Commission - Through this partnership, we beautify and share art in our public spaces. From the Des Moines Marina to the senior center on 216th, public sculptures make our community an "artful" community.
Mt. Rainier Pool - In a community surrounded by water, learning to swim is an integral part of growing up. Mt. Rainer Pool provides a variety of swimming experiences, from learn to swim, to lap lane swimming and water aerobics.
Highline School District - Our low income children need our help year around, and through this partnership we provide summer meal sites at our school playgrounds.
Des Moines Area Food Bank - Our partner for feeding hungry children and seniors through our summer playground meal sites, and seniors who use the Des Moines Area Food Bank.
Destination Des Moines - Our partner for communicating Des Moines Legacy Foundation events to the community.
Des Moines Farmers Market - Fresh produce, festive music and community celebration are the keys to this powerful partnership, helping the Des Moines Legacy Foundation with its summer meals for low income youth and farmers market food vouchers for low income seniors.
Anthony's Homeport - This fine seafood restaurant on the waterfront of the Des Moines Marina has hosted and supported our annual Bayside Brunch fundraiser for fourteen years, helping to raise more than $400,000 for senior programs and services in the Des Moines community
